It would be good to be able to control the default mesh size by the actual size dimension instead of the current fraction of overall model size.
Often I'm trying to get 2 or 3 elements through a plate or weld, the thickness of which is unrelated to the overall dimensions, so then I'm left to guess and check the size factor to get the mesh size I need (often ending up with something tiny like 0.005). If the overall size of the model changes I then need to re-find the appropriate factor.
It would to be able to say this model is made of a lot of 10 mm plate, so I'll set the general mesh size to 10 mm, or 5 mm, or 3 mm, depending if I want generally 1, 2, or 3 elements through the thickness. (and then use local mesh controls if any further local refinement is needed).
The current size factor and a new dimension control could both be present in the dialog box. When one is updated manually, the other could just update as a reference value.
