Checking component image quality

Checking component image quality

We design huge industrial equipment.
For example, the number of parts is more than 40,000.

However, Inventor's graphic performance is insufficient.
So,We can not design in a state in which display all the parts.

We need some large assembly functions.

At first I want to watch parts worsening a response.

A couple of items may help you here. First are the most obvious and I have to assume you know about them, but if not...

1. Inventor utilizes the memory of your graphics card first and foremost. If you have let's say a 1gig card and you are using two screens, that memory is split between those two screens, thus you are now only using 1/2 gig for graphics on the Inventor application screen. Get the most memory card you can afford, plain and simple. Once Inventor has used all the memory on the card, it then turns to the system's ram. Depending what version of Windows you are using, 2 gigs of that could be reserved for Windows alone (someone correct me if I'm wrong here).

2. Do you know about or use Level of Details in Inventor? I've worked for clients that dealt with airplanes such as Boeing, consider how many rivets are in each plane at the top level assembly, far more than your 40,000 part assemblies alone. They used LODs that obviously suppress those rivets and other LODs to suppress many other aspects. Using LODs will greatly improve your load time and your regen graphics issues during the time you are working within huge assemblies.

Here's a link to the White Paper on this subject I wrote, it might help in what you're attempting to accomplish:
