Build Inventor Using the Same API Developers Have Access to
It would be nice if Inventor was built using the same API the developers have access to. This would ensure anything Inventor can do is also doable by developers. I believe Vault is a great example of how this should work. I imagine it's late in the game to try to do this and might require a re-write, but sometimes that's needed...
This would improve consistency, for example, generating an iMate result through the API does not apply the defined limits, while using the interface does. I've created my own frame generator primarily because the provided one does not have an API.
"I imagine it's late in the game" - I agree. Just imagne the amount of work it would require to place a new API layer under ALL the functionality that Inventor provides. 😕
