I use Inventor Professional 2021 for technical drawing. When trying to create section view, Inventor hatches ribs and webs. However, Some parts including ribs and webs should not be sectioned to avoid a possible confusion.
To the best of my knowledge, Inventor is not capable of excluding these features automatically. Designer have to work further on section view to remove hatches.
A rib created using rib feature could not be defined as a new solid. If it could do like that, it would be possible to exclude it using "section preparation" command. Or, even better, there would be a right-click option to allow the selected feature to excluding from hatched area.
