Automatic Drawing from Assembly

Automatic Drawing from Assembly

Drawing in Inventor still takes too long.
Is there any way to automate this process?
I am not talking about putting views in the drawing as it can be done right now, what I wanted was to generate the individual drawings of each part with dimensions, part list, through an assembly. Is this something that can be developed?

Yes, all variants of drawings have long been painted in standards, and artificial intelligence in programming has advanced far and it is already possible to do this. But not for Autodesk, they can’t do such a task, they can only decorate the program interface ...

You can automate drawings to your needs with iLogic.

@jkorson  You are very wrong, automation is not possible with iLogic. automation simulations can be made. And the author wants complete automation. This already requires artificial intelligence, as both ISO and other standards specify exactly how the drawing should look. How it holds dimensions and other information. Now the engineer works like a robot, which a computer could do

@ernis I would disagree with you that iLogic cannot do automation. I have built a automatic drawing generator for the company I work for that takes the assembly, puts the assembly view on the sheet, creates the dimensions required, creates the parts list required, creates additional sheets for each machine part, dimensions them and adds tables as necessary. Look at the BrewMain_Drawing Inventor sample file: Inventor Sample Files | Inventor 2022 | Autodesk Knowledge Network.

This sample will show you that you can take a assembly model and generate drawings for the assembly and the parts by clicking one button.

I can be certain that you can fully automate the drawing environment with ilogic if you have Inventor 2020 or a newer Inventor version.

I'm not sure what else would need to be automated from a standards point of view. In Inventor Style's Manager enforces the common standards on how a dimension should look, how section and detail view annotation should look, etc.
