Automated Centerlines dialog - improve support for slots

Would it be possible to improve support for slot features in the Automated Centerline command?

 

It should support orthogonal, inclined, and curved slots.

 

Here are how centerlines are currently retrieved in 2016 for features created with the slot sketch tools.

And let there be a faster way to place a bolt in the middle of a slot.

 

Other CAD systems have an attachment point in the center of the slot.

Must be possible in Inventor as well.

The slot features should be model features like chamfer and hole, not sketch enhancements.

This new feature can contain a attachment point for bolts, pins etc which is placed in the middle and/or outer centers of the slot.

Perhaps their behavior would be similar to an iFeature, but more convenient to access.

You would still want access to the slot sketch for constraining purposes and access to sketch parameters for creation associations.

In addition to including slots in automated centerlines, it would be nice to be able to quickly create center marks for specific individual slots. For anyone who'd like to vote for that, here's a new idea asking for it: Center Mark for slots in drawings.
