❗ Autodesk Inventor "Make Components" Auto Numbering: ❗
I was missing the functionality to automatically create Assembly Filename and the Component Filenames, when using the "Make Components Command" in Autodesk Inventor Software.
💡 I have automated this within a add in, by using a userinterface you are able to predefine the file-naming. 💡
Via a dialog-box with the following inputfields you create the setup:
-AssemblyName
-PartName
Defined by:
-Prefix which is filled in per default from the Assembly name,
Which ca be modified later.
-a delimiter via a dropdown menu
-a numbering sequence
-a second delimiter via a dropdown menu.
-and a suffix
The settings will be remembered when selecting another selection for making components.
Also the numbering sequence will be remembered as the last number created.
Maybe this a good addition for future releases of Autodesk Inventor.
