We are a semi-trailer manufacturer using Inventor Professional with a multi-seat design team, and we make heavy use of iLogic and the Inventor API for standardization. We're excited about the Autodesk Assistant Tech Preview, but before we can adopt it as a team tool rather than an individual productivity aid, we need ways to ensure consistent behavior and governance across all users. Specifically, we would like to request:
1. Shared prompt libraries — the ability to publish a curated, company-approved set of Saved Prompts to all users (e.g., via a network path, Vault, or the Autodesk account portal), so everyone runs the same vetted prompts instead of each user maintaining their own local list.
2. Admin-level configuration — centralized controls in the Autodesk account admin portal or via deployment settings to: enable/disable the Assistant per team or per user group, pre-accept or manage Terms of Use at the organization level, and lock specific Assistant settings (e.g., Tech Preview toggles) so they are uniform across workstations.
3. Tool-level permissions — the ability for an administrator to restrict which Assistant tools are available (e.g., allow read/analyze tools but restrict write/modify tools such as parameter edits or iProperty changes) to protect controlled design data.
4. Custom context / company standards — a way to provide the Assistant with organization-specific instructions or reference documents (naming conventions, iProperty schemas, drawing standards) so its outputs align with our CAD standards rather than generic defaults.
5. Auditability — a log of Assistant-initiated model changes (who, what, when) so modifications made through natural-language prompts are traceable, similar to what we achieve today with our iLogic rules.
These capabilities would let CAD managers deploy the Assistant with the same rigor we currently apply to iLogic rule libraries and application options, and would significantly accelerate adoption in production environments.
