Assembly Visibility

Assembly Visibility

I would like to have the option at Part Level to not show sketches in all levels of Assemblies and Sub Assemblies. That is when I turn a Sketch Visibility off at the Part Level to obey this everywhere that part appears. I find this only in Inventor and it is very annoying and a waste of time...

btw If this is cause by that tinny LOD get rid of that rubbish lets face it does anyone find that useful in the year 2018..??? Configurations... Inventor Configurations, time to evolve...

Please suggest NO! Workarounds ... I know the Work around (Turn Off all Sketch Visibility in an Assy) and it is less than satisfactory...

@Anonymous, what about part design view? It can be used when placing it in assembly level.

No, rather not. Just keep it simple.

Open the Part, turn off the Sketch visibility and have that propagate everywhere it's used. Rather than go everywhere it's used, and turn off Visibility at the Assy Level.

That's exactly how Inventor 2018 and previous works for me.  Note that editing the part in-place in an assembly does not hide a sketch in all instances of the part.  Opening the part in a separate window is required.

What View rep are you using in your parts? Make not to use Master, but Default or some other one that is not locked.
