The current workaround is to make a feature pattern along a curve in a part file. Add that part file to the assembly, then make a component pattern that follows the feature pattern.
@swalton Do you have an example file of this that I could take a look at? I have tried doing this and more often than not it fails. So I wonder if I am missing something, so if you have an assembly pattern I could look at that would be helpful.
