Assembly BOM

Assembly BOM

Add function to open an idw from the BOM. Similar to opening a part/assembly from the BOM.

Please use more descriptive titles. "Assembly BOM" in no way describes what you're asking for. Something like "Open component's IDW drawing from BOM". Please use the "Report" button at the bottom right of your post to ask the moderators to change it for you, and tell them what you'd like to rename it to. You'll get more votes with a descriptive title.

I don't know how this could work. Suppose you have two drawings for the same model? Which one will be opened? Another pesky file selection dialogue?

@RajSchmidt  its the same function as opening an idw from within a part or assembly model.  As shown on the screenshot below.  This function relies on the drawing being the same name as the model.

Hi Devon,

I see what you mean. I'd just say that in that case it would probably work just as randomly as the "Open Drawing" command in the browser.
