Id like to quickly assemble the same part multiple times in an assembly, without needing to get in depth in a time consuming task. Idea comes from another program I used in the past. SEE VIDEO ATTACHED, OR LINK ABOVE.
Saving constraints to a part in an assembly. Each time you drag the same part into an assembly the constraints used before are remembered or saved and will allow you to constrain to any part in your assembly. This allows you to only have to pick points on the part already existing in your assembly that you are trying to constrain to. This saves a lot of time and frustrations by not clicking on the new part you just dragged in and rotating all around to find those points each and every time you pull that same part in.
From experience using this other program I could place the same part multiple times in an assembly at least twice as fast as I could do in Inventor. You may be thinking just use the patterns or pattern a part somehow, but this would be used when there isn't a pattern to found, only random points to constrain to. I know there are things similar to this in inventor already but from what I see it takes time to set it up and usually not worth doing.
The 2.5 minute Video below clearly shows what I'm talking about.
