Add option to select frame rate when exporting videos from presentations (IPN)

Currently there is no way to select video frame rate when exporting videos from presentation (IPN) animations. Regardless of codec selection and codec settings the video frame rate is always fixed at 15 FPS which makes videos look jerky. FPS should be selectable in video settings window like this:

Definitely needed. I voted for it!

按正常思维,输出视频无法设置帧率一定是BUG

而Autodesk的工程师们居然不这么认为...

Upvoted. We've just run into the same problem attempting to export a short animation to be included into a promotional video, without it looking like a flickbook.

This new IPN environment 'paradigm' which has made it much harder to produce static images for drawings, but "much easier" to produce animations (which is clearly a feature that mechanical engineers and designers require...apparently) cannot, it turns out, render anything upwards of 15fps. Not useful.

I upvoted this as I also ran into this problem. I found a temporary workaround that helps my video quality I thought I would share (Although far from ideal)

When creating your animations, try to make them twice as long as you normally would. Especially difficult when you're trying to plan voice overs. Then using a video editing software (I used a very simple software called Openshot) and fast forward your video to 2x and re-export. In essence you've just doubled your fps quality, resulting in a smoother video.
Cheers!

This feature would be extremely helpful!  I currently need to export 4K at 60 Hz.  I have found that Inventor only offers two ways to export video.  That is with a Presentation File, or by using the Inventor Studio which can be accessed under the environments tab of inventor.

It is MUCH easier to create the animations with a Presentation File, but you are limited to a max output of 1080p at 15 fps for video animation output.

The Inventor Studio environment is not at all user friendly for creating animations that have more than one step, but will give you a slightly better output quality of 1080p @ 60 Hz.  The video quality will also be much better because it will render each frame if you so choose.

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND Autodesk bring the easy to use UI of the Inventor Presentations into Inventor Studio, and increase the max output resolution to 4K.  It would would make it much easier to animate AND render professional looking videos straight out of Inventor.

Please!

This is essential, animation presentations at 15 FPS is pointless. Depressing to see this idea was posted in 2016 and I've ended up here looking for an unfixed solution in 2020

You can output at 4k

put video on a separate 4k screen and maximize
set render to current document window size
render
There ya go 4k at 15 hz

We need this, 15 FPS are ridiculous these days.

Voted! Seriously, who can watch 15fps today? It's disgusting! Presentation is such a great tool for making instructional videos for our workers but those frame rates are seriously bad and unwatchable...

This would greatly improve our process!!!

Customizing the fps is an option in Inventor Studio, but Studio needs further development to be a viable option. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to scrap Inventor Studio all together, except the renderer, and squeeze that renderer into the .ipn environment.
