Building a large too library for Cam takes a while. Details are the key to making it work well for you. Below are some suggestions to improve the Tool Library.
- Add hyperlink box on "General" tab. This could be very useful when re-ordering.
- Key here is ease of access to find what you need as fast as possible. Add "quick" buttons on Main Library page to quickly display all of the "Drills" in the library. Examples could be "All", "Drills", "Endmills", "Ball Endmills", "Chamfer". You could also use a 2-3 letter reference to the tool, like "ALL", "DRL", "EM", "BEM", "CHM". Adding a feature like this would be faster for filtering than just clicking on "Type" and searching. I guess what I'm trying to express is to expand on the searching abilities.
- For Indexable tools.... Add text boxes for "INSERT" data. Manufacturer, Vendor, part #, and HYPERLINK. Its nice to know what tool you have, wouldn't it be nice to know what insert to use?
- Ability to EXPORT tool library into Excel.
