We use "Mark" for etching part numbers on sheet metal panels using CNC laser. Parts are generated with numbers updated automatically via iPart. We have our output layers of the flat pattern set up to represent laser cut our or surface etch. Currently "Mark" goes on on "Visible" layer. That layer is set as part outline. Our laser burns the letters all the way through the sheet. We are having to change the layers by hand on every part. I've included part files along Drawing that gets exported directly to our laser programmer.
