my customer got an idea to have an ability to lock tabs in Inventor browser in order to avoid an accidental move or closure of browser tabs. See the screenshot. Currently you can move it or close it inadvertently.
Agreed. They can also move when the program is closed, making it a pain to constantly drag your tabs back and forth. A locking option is actually what I was looking for, when I stumbled upon this idea already entered. Thumbs up to this!
I'd like tabs to remember the active state as well.
For example, if I have iLogic and Vault tabs in the same space/window I can switch between them - more screen space: great. But when i open a new file it always shows the iLogic tab by default (and sorts them alphabetically when I re-open inventor I think!)
If I had the Vault tab shown last in one file it should show the Vault tab in the next file I open. And remember this if i re-open inventor. Perhaps this can be saved in the user preferences some way?
It would also be nice to have this lock feature for the documents tab. 2021 Inventor is touchier than 2018 and I keep accidentally moving the windows around when switching between documents.
How is this not a thing yet? Desperately need this when I have 15 tabs open, about to do part numbering or drawings and then it explodes into small windows all over my screen. Maximize one and the entire order is out of place.
