3D Sketch Point Coordinate Transfer

3D Sketch Point Coordinate Transfer

While working with 3D sketches, it is common to create reference geometry to aid or assist in locating 3D path control points.  For example, if you have 3 points, and want one of the points to be located between the other 2 points, you can construct a reference line between them, locate a point on the ref line midpoint, measure the new point's location (x,y,z coordinates), write down the x y and z values, then update the point that you want located there by entering the values you previously wrote down.

Instead of writing down the x y and z coordinates, it would be great to have a command to make a point's location match a target reference point location.  Even if this means to drive the ref point's coordinates into the point's controlling dimensions if it has dimensions.  If the point has no controlling dimensions, then it would just be relocated to the target ref point.

Thank you,

Stephen R.
