3D Annotation - Apply properties of parent assembly

For 3D annotation, currently we are limited to applying properties for only the .ipt component that receives the label.

I would like to recommend the functionality to include applying the properties of the parent assembly.

For example, in a main assembly, we would like to 3D annotation label display the Part Number of a sub-assembly.

I would like to add that the same 'filter' should be true for 2D annotations. Currently if I decide to insert 'part number' in the text of a leader and attach that leader to an edge in a sub-assembly, it drops in the individual's part number not the assembly's part number.
