Zero force member (inventor Frame analysis)

Hi all,

I was looking in inventor a way to find zero force members in the frame analysis.

something like this.

But when I tried it in Inventor, I always get a force in the (zero force member) white beam.

Anyone an idea?

I am trying to see the image on mobile device - so I might be missing something.
Do you have Gravity defined?

Gravity would induce a force on all parts.

Can you Attach your files here?

Hi! The zero-force member only exists if there is no deformation (ideal). When there is deformation, all members bear load.

Many thanks!

Yes, I agree totally with @johnsonshiue

You can release the moment in that beam to zero, but not stress.
