Wrong iMates composite snaps, missing iMates matching in iPart

When opening an iPart with the same composite iMates names, Inventor Assembly does not snap to the correct ID.

And weirdly matching information disappears throughout chosing different lengths in an iPart.

All shown in the attached screencast.

Am I overlooking something or is it a bug?

Thanks in advance.

Hi! I think I have seen this behavior before. It is either a wrong iMate definition or a bug in matching iMate. We have made some change in this particular workflow. Please share the files here. I would like to try it on our latest internal build.

Many thanks!

Ok, the snapping seems to work now, but the preview of the snap is still showing the wrong direction (at 0:12 in the screencast) but snaps right to the correct composite.

But with the matching and changing of iMates (composite) names, there is definitely going something wonky.
I recorded the steps for you in the screencast too (beginning at 0:25)

- when you open an iPart via Assembly and change the name of an iMate or composite name, save it and return to the Assembly, the name will not update for that specific part

- changing the length of the part will lead to the updated name

- but changing it back to the original part loaded earlier it jumps back to the previous name (screencast at 1:33)

Can you look into it, I put the files in the attachements.
Thanks and regards.

Hi! I get the issue now. This is about the change in the factory does not propagate to the member immediately. The issue here is that the iMate name change isn't considered a shape change. As a result, the update does not happen immediately. It will happen in two ways. 1) Open the factory file -> right-click on the member node -> Generate Files. Or, 2) Open the factory file -> Manage -> Rebuild All. Then the members will be updated accordingly.

Many thanks!
