when creating a new part within the assembly environment all work planes turn on when a new sketch is created making a visual mess. i can go into the visibility- object visibility and turn them off every time but this is very aggravating. how do i make this stop happening.work planes.png

I noticed you have the MASTER view rep selected?   Where is your default one?  Perhaps select other than MASTER view rep will help..

i do not know what happened to the default, however when i switch to the
view 1 representation only three of the work planes appear. When working in
view 1 i edit the the parts with the planes visible and turn the plane off
and save the change, the plane doesn't show up while creating the new
sketch.
while using INV 2018 the work plane did not even turn on when creating the
sketch

Hi Gary,

Are these part-level workplanes visible within the part? If you open the part by itself, do they appear? What is the active Design View Rep for the part?

Many thanks!

Hi Gary,

Then it explains why the workplanes are visible on edit. It is because they are indeed visible in the part. What you could do is to make the workplanes invisible within the part and save the part. Now, they should not reappear when you edit the part in place.

Many thanks!
