Why don't the drawing dimension update automatically?

When in drawing, I have "Retrived Dimention". Then I mark a dimension and right-click to select "Edit model dimension" and enter a new value.

The model and the drawing changes accordingly, but the existing dimention, which was edited, do not. Also, when adding a new dimension on the same "item" it show the correct value. So I have a hole the are both Ø10 and Ø50 at the same time.

In Document setting I have checked for Defer Updates

Hello,

Please uncheck defer update to get the model up to date.

Thanks. I see now that there is an not-updated symbol next to the drawing, as shown. But I do not get the Defer Updates option when I right-click it ?

Hi! Defer Update only applies to entire drawing file, not individual drawing view.

Many thanks!

Hello @Anonymous I see that you are visiting as a new member to the Inventor Forum.
Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

Are you saying that the retrieved dimension that you just edited doesn't change but the model updates correctly?

When I bring in a part > Retrieve Model Annotations... > Select the wanted dimensions > Edit Model Dimension... > it updates the part and the dimension accordingly.

Is there a reason you are wanting to use Defer Updates?

If you can record a screencast or attach your files that would be helpful in understanding what you are experiencing.
