When translating to IGES, are all the sketches removed?

Hi,

I want to upload a part in another post so that other users can help me, but the part which I need to upload is part of a project. If I cut the volume which there are no problems in and save as iges, and upload the file online, is there a way people can remove the cut volume to end up with all the part?

All depends on exactly what problem you are having..

Obviously having access to the model browser/feature history is the best so native files are always recommended..

If you just need help on a part post the ipt file.

If you need help on an assembly post the iam file and all ipt files associated with it. You can do this in one swoop using pack and go functionality.

You can also do shrinkwrap/simplify

You can also do derive or just save an assembly as a step file

I tend to avoid IGES as I have found that STEP (stp) is a better format..
