When exiting a 2D Sketch the system should automatically zoom out to show the entire part.

Have you had a chance to look at the options and settings in the navigation wheel yet?

Hi! I assume you want to be able to look directly at the sketch while editing the sketch. When you are done, Inventor returns back to prior view direction before editing the sketch.

If yes, please go to Tools -> App Options -> Sketch -> check both boxes for "Look at" in the middle of the dialog.

Many thanks!

I would find that annoying. Can't you just double click your middle mouse button to zoom all?

Use iLogic Copy? Please consider voting for this long overdue idea (not mine):https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-ideas/string-replace-for-ilogic-design-copy/idi-p/3821399

I can and have hit the middle mouse button twice. That works, but why not have the system do it?

Because it's not the desired result in every situation would likely be the reason. A LOT of sketches are not for a full part, but for a detail or edge or something else. People do not always want to return to the full part was done as there are times you need to stay on what you were doing to make sure it comes out right.

But, as noted above, there are options you can set.
