whats going on here

can someone tell me what is going on with this part. if you pattern the holes around, it created the funny face within the sphere, pattern of 7 is fine, pattern of 9 is ok but it wont let me do 8 and i need 8.

It's not, as it should be, I think.
I was able to work around it, by doing a pattern of 4, and then mirroring
it.

Seems like a peculiar graphics problem. If I zoom in the problem goes away, and if I make an idw the problem is not there.

I confirmed it is a display issue. The underlying part geometry is healthy.

Hmm. I was able to delete the faulty face, and the volume turned into a
surface.
