Hi!

Boolean operations is a operation that can add, remove or intersect material in a solid.

Most of times, people call boolean operation to the tool COMBINE.

This tool is used to do operations between solids in a multisolid part.

In a multisolid part: You can add two or several solids to become one, remove portion of solids which are intersecting with each other, or keep the intersect portion between solids.

Extrusions, cuts, etc, can also be considerated as a boolean operation, but is often used that name, boolean for the combine tool.
