Weldment/ frame generator cutlist

I have created a frame using the weldment feature of Inventor.  I have now got to the point where I need to create a cutlist for the frame. However, I seem to only be able to get a total length for the different profiles that I have used and not individual frame members. I have tried creating a BOM in both structured (all level) and parts only but I get the same result. On the BOM the icon next to the profile name is two horizontal bars a blue bar over a red bar with an upward pointing blue arrow next to it.

I am using Inventor 2017.

Can anyone advise how I can get a full cutlist for the frame?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Here is one way to get what you are wanting.  "Base QTY" is the property you want to show in the BOM.  This is the length of each individual member.

What happens if you turn off 'merge rows on part number match'?

Hi Tim,

I am a bit surprised it does not work for you. Each member frame should be listed as separate row unless you turn on Group option in PartsList. Could you share an example here so experts can comment further?

Many thanks!

Thanks Paul,  That is indeed what the problem was.  I hadn't spotted that box despite all the looking for merge (or in this case unmerge) options.

Thanks to the others for their input as well.

Hi Tim, I have same issues, how to unmerge? I can't find any option to turn off merge?

Hi! If I understood your request correctly, it was about row merging on BOM table. Here is what you need to do. Open the assembly -> BOM -> click on the button in the middle at the top (Row Merging Options) -> uncheck "Enable row merge on same part numbers."

Another way to do it is to make sure each frame member has a different PN.

Many thanks!
