Weird dimension behavior

I want to place a dimension for the length of a notched tube.

I click on the two points on the extremities, I can preview the dimension and move it around.

Then I click to place the dimension and inventor changes my selection.

You can see the screenshot before and after clicking to place the dimension.

Are you using Projected Dimension or are you using True Dimension?

Can you Attach part and drawing file that exhibits this behavior here?

Here I send the whole pack and go folder, because the problem didn't appear when I deleted all the unused files.

It happens when I try to put a dimension between the 2 extremity points in the drawing.

Dimension to Line Endpoints rather than Spline Endpoints is more robust and reliable.
