Visual style removes when closing part

I have a problem where I want my parts to all have the same visual style (shaded, with no shadows and no reflections), but when I set a part to have this and save then close are re-open the part the visual style is reset to "shaded with edges".

If you go to tools > Application Options > Display tab

Choose the radio button for Use Application settings, then click the settings button. Now, set what you want and restart the program.
