Could someone please explain something to me.  When  make a drawing of my assembly i use the view reps to break down the assembly to make it easier on the workshop to manufacture.  However if something then changes on the assembly or i need to add an extra item in the drawing then goes to a complete jumbled mess.  The view reps i make are locked and if i clicked on the view the additional piece is not added but in the drawing it is an absolute nightmare to say the least.  If i add two items to the assy it is then easier just to start the drawing again.  Any ideas where i am going wrong as it really is driving me crazy.  

So far my only solution is to either go through every view and then turn  off the part within the drawing or click each view change the view rep then change it back again.  this also isnt practical and taking up way too much time.  

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Well that was short lived tried adding another piece in and then it did the same again its quicker toggling the radio button on and off but still a pain.

Hmm... It's weird it's still doing that.

Did you make sure that the visibility of the new component was off in the view rep and the checkbox associative was checked?

Maybe there was a master view in the drawing?

Master views will always show the new added parts in it's view.

Basically if you check the associative checkbox you are telling the view that you want to control the visibility from the assemblies view rep and not from the drawing, uncheck it and it will listen to the drawing.

This means when associative is checked you're not able to make manually visibility changes to the drawing because it is listening to the assembly.

Turning it off and you are able to make changes to the visibility in that view.

It work fine for me....

Also, you don't need to lock view reps to make this work.

Anyway I find the quickest way to make the drawing listen to the assembly view (if the associative checkbox is not checked) by RMB the view and select "Apply design view".
