View Representations - Insert a part in current representation only

Hi, I have an assembly with a number of view representations, but i often create a later representation where i insert a new part, but i only want that new part to appear in the current representation, however i have to go through all the other representations and turn the part visibility off, is that the only way to this or am i missing something?

I had (can't find them now but will keep looking) an ilogic rule that would lock all but the active design view reps so I could do exactly what you wanted..

Then had another rule to unlock all view reps again in one swoop..

I probably modified the one Curtis had here which is "similar"..

Hi - so basically, I have to lock all the view reps i dont want the part in, then insert the part in the view rep i do want it in, then i can unlock all the previously locked reps and the part wont appear in them?

Correct..

A "locked" view rep does not allow changes/additions,etc... to it..
