View Representation in next assembly

I'm using Inventor R2011, I'm continuing mo ongoing struggle to understand View Representations....  I've made Assembly 3; its first component is Assembly 2;  Assembly 2 has a View representation which turns off the visibility of Part 1.  In Assembly 3, Part 1 is visible.  Is there any way to have Assembly 3 "access" the View Rep that is down a level in Assembly 2?

Hi LonesomeJoe,

You can right-click on a subassembly and choose Representation, and then select a View Representation of the subassembly to set active. You'll want to do this with your top level assembly set to a View Representation set to something other than the Master View Representation.
