view multiple sheets at the same time in idw

Hi.

Does anyone know if it is possible to view multiple pages/sheets from the same idw file at once? (similar to several artboards in one view in adobe illustrator).

Not really..

The only way to get close is to open multiple instances of Inventor itself and open the drawing in each instance..

But that really doesn't work too well either as the files can be out of sync with each other that way.. (changes to one do not show up on the other)

Not the most convenient solution, no, but probably the only way to make it work:)

Are you looking for this ...

At this time there isn't an option to "detached" it from the inside of Inventor .. but that could be an interesting idea / enhancement to have.

I'm quite positive that request is already somewhere in the "Inventor ideastation"..

Almost, though not just tile, but the possibility to view several sheets (pages) from the same drawing document at once.

The issue is that it's all related to one or more file ...

So opening multiple versions of Inventor could cause conflicts familiarly quick as @mcgyvr was explaining.
