Vault splash screen stays up when launching Inventor

New item shows up recently that is annoying.  After launching Inventor 2021.1, the Vault login dialog opens and then the Vault Splash screen opens.  However it never closes itself.  Vault login finishes and Inventor is ready to run, but the Vault splash screen stays active and cannot be moved but can be closed by selecting the X.  Any ideas why this is now happening?  It is happening on my laptop and a co-worker's workstation.

Hi Scott.  That does sound like a fun problem.  What version of Vault are you running with IV 2021.1?

btw, just noticed your signature.... Go Blue!!  LOL

Would it be possible to capture a Screencast video of this happening when you open Inventor?

Hi Scott and Chris,

Could it be license related. Does Vault have trouble finding a license? Maybe the license timeout needs to be set to a bigger value.

Go blue! Jim needs to work harder!

Many thanks!

Greetings from Ann Arbor!

This has not been an issue before and the only thing that has been changed is that I loaded the Inventor 2021.1 update. I will try uninstalling it and see it if goes away.

Is there any chance that your program shortcut was modified to run both applications when it is clicked?  Longshot, but....

No chance. I realized this morning that it also does this when I open Vault Professional by itself.

Have you attempted a repair or re-install on the Vault Client?  Or... nuclear option, uninstall/re-install?  It feels like this is a Client issue... but can't understand how/why Inventor is even calling the splash screen.  It should not.

I have not. I will try a few other things before I go nuclear.
