Using Time parameters in Inventor studio for simulations.

Hello, i'm making some simulations with different speeds and so on. I calculate the times via Fx and like to use these parameters in inventor studio.

Initially it all works out. See "Time1" below.

But wen i change the parameters in Fx it turns out that the parameters "Time1" Time2" do'nt stick. After enter they become statick?

Am i doing something wrong? Or is this a bug?

Hi! I believe this is like a bug and a limitation. The dialog probably only takes the value instead of parameter expression.

Many thanks!

Hi John,

So does this means that in the nearby future this could be fixed? That would be great!

Hi! I am checking with the project team and see if this is a known issue. I cannot promise a fix, since I don't know how much effort required to fix it.

Many thanks!

Hi! I did get back from the project team. This was considered a limitation. The original design intent was to set definite time values, not by a parameter. I don't think there will be a quick fix unfortunately.

Many thanks!

Hello John,

Thanks for the update. For me this is a big disappointment. I don't see why anybody would want to cut corners in there software. It's not consistent either. The travel parameters are "sticking".  Fixing this would make the simulations that much more powerfull.  I'll post a topic in idea station. thanks.
