Using Inventor Offline

Hi, I've recently been getting familiar with Inventor (Education License) and I would like to use it offline.

I read that the program has to connect to the internet once a month, which is fine for my purposes.

The problem I encounter is that the program requires internet access on every start up, even if I used it just a few hours prior, and shows a license error when not connected.

Is it not possible to use Inventor offline when using an education license?

It will pop up a dialog box about being offline but you just need to press the "X" to close that (I needed to do that two or 3 times but eventually got to Inventor) .. Inventor will then revert to "trial mode" and should work just fine for up to 30 days as stated..

If you aren't seeing similar behavior please be very specific about what isn't working and what dialogs you are seeing..
