USDz export not working

Hi

I have used the USDz export a few times, and every time I struggle to get it right. Right now I can't make it work. I use the 2023.4 version, but when exporting USDz, nothing happens. I recal there was an issue naming the file only with ANSI-letters, but I still can't export the file. Please help, I got a customer waiting.

cheers
/Erik

Hi! If possible, please share the file here or send it to me directly [email protected]. I would like to understand the USDx export issue. You may want to try the exact same workflow in Fusion 360 to see if it works there. It could be used as an alternative workflow for the time being.

Many thanks!

Hi

I still haven't seen a solution to this problem. Has anyone experienced similar problems? If so, how did you resolve it?
Looking forward for a solution.

Many thanks

Hi Erik,

Please feel free to send me the file directly [email protected]. I would like to understand why the file cannot be exported to USDz from Inventor.

Many thanks!

Hi

I have now tried to export USDz when updating to Inventor 2025, and it works fine.
The only problem now is that the exported USDz file does not follow the coordinate system.

If I have the Z axis up in the Inventor model, the USDz model does not orient itself according to the location from inventor.
