I wonder if I am missing a setting somewhere. In IV 2019 if a solidbody part was modified the drawing would show a notification to update the model. On doing so, the part would open as a reminder it needed to be saved in order to lock in the modification. In IV 2021 updating the drawing no longer opens the part. If you forget to open the part and subsequently save it, the next time you open the drawing an update of the drawing and part will still be necessary.
This seems to be a retrograde step in the software as it is much easier to leave solidbody parts in a transitional state. I never fully understood why when updating a drawing the derived part was not updated and saved in the background automatically as it seems such an obvious improvement to the current workflow.
If anyone knows of a better way to ensure solidbody parts are updated more seamlessly via the drawing update, I would appreciate hearing about it.
