Update part on save and or on open

I have a sketch which drives some WorkAxes in a part. The axes are in the Z direction from a point created in a sketch in the XY plane.

I sometimes have to click on the update icon to get the WorkAxes to move to the new points after a dimension change.

I cannot find an option which will do the update on a save or open of a part. Is there one? Where is it hiding?

You can update the part with a iLogic Rule.

1. Create the iLogic rule
2. Create a "event trigger" to run the rule when opening the part (or when saving the part, or close... there are a few options to lunch the rule).

You could use iLogic to update a part when opening, by using event triggers

I have attached a screencast to show you how to update when opening a part.

You can also do this for save as well. As you can see from the screencast. Just select Before/After save document.
