Hello @lkirit2000 ,

Go to Model browser, find Representation\Design View and create a new design view other than Master.

Than you are all set.

Hope it helps!

Hello @lkirit2000 ,

There are two situation. One is you have more design views and all of them are locked, you can see a small lock thumbnail there. You can unlock all of views except the Master. The other one is you probably have only Mater view and the Mater view is always locked as system Design view, so user have to create a new unlocked one.

Regard to Why, this is help user to protect some useful design view without any modification.

Or you can show an image of browser tree with design view expanding.

Hope it a bit clear for you.

What kind of file are you getting this message in? ipt or iam?
For .iam you should have an unlocked (default) design view to activate.
If it's in an .ipt you only have a Master design view.

Assuming it's an ipt where you're seeing this; the reason might be that you used a section view.
This triggers that message even if you end the section view.
If that was the case, you can just ignore the message.
Your part will still be saved, it just won't save that sectioned state.

Hope that helps.

Hi! I bet you are editing a part and you have Master:Design View active. At the same time you have a virtual section view enabled, right? The warning just tell you that the virtual section view will not be saved back to Master:Design View. If you want to have it persisted, you want to create a new Design View rep and unlock it.

Many thanks!

I figured it out. Right click in view section in model list, then option to create new design view was visible. Thanks.
