Uninstall Tool for version 2023 missing

The uninstall tool was a good tool. Autodesk makes something good and then cancels it and over and over again.
As of version 2021, this tool is missing. I have 30 computers and need to uninstall version 2023. Version 2023 has Inventor, Autocad, Nastran, Factory, Tolerance Analysis, Cam, Nesting.
The question is: How do I uninstall all products of a given version 2023

On a Win10 system with Inventor Pro 2021 installed, there is an Autodesk folder under the Start menu and within that folder there is something simply called "Uninstall Tool".  Not sure what it does though, do you have that?  We are due to get 2023 installed sometime in the near future.

Just for your info. The Uninstall tool has been canceled since version 2021, it only exists in version 2020 and older. Version 2022, 2023, 2024 does not have Unistall tool. I currently have version 2024 and want to get rid of version 2023.

Hi!

By now, You have to uninstall the products in control panel, as any other software.😓

So manually searching for what to uninstall = 20 min extra on each PC. Who should I thank for the cancellation? (Exaggeration).

What was the reason for the cancellation? Make it harder for users to upgrade?

Thanks for your link. I will want to try it. I don't know if I can do it.
Another thing: Autodesk could at least make a video on how to do it for say 2023 version. I'm disappointed with Autodesk's approach. The 30 or so licenses are not for 5 dollars. I would have expected better service - just leave the tool as it is and aim for it. The main thing is that the icons have changed (exaggeration).

Considering we had versions prior to 2021 installed there is no telling when a folder simply named "Autodesk" appeared.

I'll consider that my info I guess!

Good Luck!

ummm...not a correct statement.

I'm using 2023 & testing 2024 and the Uninstall Tool is under the Programs > Autodesk folder:

Open the Uninstall Tool-- does it offer to uninstall 2023 or 2024?  Mine doesn't...

Before you write something, try it. If it works for you, which I doubt, then show the video.

Well, first off, I don't use this nor the Windows uninstaller I use CCleaner

Next, you said the tool was gone, it's not, I showed you where it is.

If it doesn't uninstall for 2023 or 2024, etc. then use the Windows uninstaller, or like I do, CCleaner.

Lastly, no need to be rude, you made a statement that the tool was no longer offered and I showed that it was.

Yes, the Uninstall tool is in the Autodesk folder. Unistal tools does not work for newer products 2022 and above (newer). Full video until the end.

I'm using the Product Design & Manufacturing Collection. We have exactly 29 licenses. Yes, I have a right to be upset. Because the Uninstall tool was a good tool and now uninstalling is more time consuming because it is harder to uninstall the whole package with many programs. I'm a customer and we're not paying $5 for it. When Autodesk does good things, I praise them, but when they do bad things, I have the right to criticize them.

Hi! The install and uninstall process has been changed significantly for 2023 product line. The old Uninstall Tool would not work with the new process out-of-the-box. However, we have heard the request of having a holistic uninstall tool for Autodesk products. The project team is investigating the feasibility. At the moment, we don't have a solution yet.

Many thanks!

Yes, you have the right to be upset, but your anger is misdirected.

I understand your frustration, honestly, thus why I moved to using CCleaner well over 10 yrs ago.

I saw too many times where the uninstall tools didn't complete a clean uninstall.

But as Johnson noted, the issue is being worked on.

Until then both of us have to do uninstalls using a different tool.

But the Uninstall tool is still available for other apps.

Thank you for your patience. The thought of spending time on 29 computers uninstalling version 2023 scared me.

Hello, any update to this thread? Is it in development right now? Can I wait for new uninstall tool? What's the need it takes so long, it's just a batch command right?

Looking forward to it right now.

Hi! Unfortunately, there isn't much I can share at the moment. The Uninstall Tool was removed due to change in install/uninstall technology as of Autodesk 2023 products. The old tool would not work with the new install/uninstall process. There has been external and internal discussion about reviving or refactoring the tool. But I have not seen a solution yet.

Many thanks!
