Unable to open part file after Registry change

Hello,

Recently we made registry changes to fix an issue with thread operations (https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/inventor-products/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcartic...). Now when a user tries to open a thread or a hole they receive a prompt to save changes made to thread.xls with the options to save, don't save, or cancel. any of these options do not allow the thread to open up the part file. Anyone have any ideas? I might just uninstall the update that this KB article referneces but I wanted to do that as a last resort as it was a security update.

Thanks

Are you sure you modified the registry properly?

Can you actually post an image of the message you are getting?

The registry hack is not working for everybody..  Some people are seeing this issue like you are.. The save thread excel spreadsheet message will keep appearing no matter if you save it or not.

Is there a work around yet? Or should I just  uninstall the update until a workaround is found?

No updates have been provided at this time except the work-around (meaning uninstalling the update/block updates or registry hack).
