Unable to Edit

Hello,

Newbie here, why am I able to edit the main part but not the block plate? Should I have that option to whichever part that I desire to edit in assembly feature?

No problem editing the block in assembly IV2023:

I took a screen shot below and circled where the edit option is grayed out. Function does not permit to make edits on the block.

Are you trying to edit the assembly? or individually? May have to double click the item and open it. Good luck.

Ideally I'm trying to edit in the assembly, using (Project Geometry) to copy the features from part onto the block.

To edit a component inside an assembly, you must close the component file. It cannot be available in two places at once.

That's because you have the part file open.

Close the part file first.
