Hi all,
I am working on designing an HVAC system with copper piping on Inventor 2022. Since none of the default styles will match my need, i try to create my own style. However, i want to create a style without 90° elbow but just bending the pipe in 90°. Is there any way to do it ? or i have to do it manually outside the "pipe and tube" environment?
Thanks.
Solved! Go to Solution.
When creating a Route - introduce Bend between two straight segments of the sketch. Then all three segments will be treated like one line for populating by the pipe. And the follow up pipe will be just one item with the bend in it.
I would keep elbows in the stile. In case there is a need for them in the design.
Cheers,
Igor.

If you change the category of style from rigid with pipe and fittings to tubing with bends this should be the style you require. I would just copy a style that exist in that category, copy a family and change material and dimensions.
@IgorMir is right with the addition of bends. I'd just add that you can set up a default bent tube style in the tube and pipe runs styles. This way you specify a default bend radius all routes using that style
Yes, that is although can be a way to go. Especially - if elbows won't be used that very often. And the radius of bend is uniform across the whole design. With a few alteration here and there only.
Cheers,
Igor.
