Yes, I was in a part file.

yes box is checked
I've created an assembly, but I'm having trouble initiating a pipe run. When I attempt to start it, nothing happens and the pipe ribbon doesn't appear. Any advice on how to initiate a pipe run or the conditions that need to be met?

Hi! This could be an install issue. Or your system does not allow Inventor to access certain files. Try a few things. Please make sure all critical Windows updates are installed and the graphics driver is updated. Install the latest Inventor update to your Inventor version.
Right-click on Inventor desktop icon -> Properties -> Compatibility -> check "Run As Admin."
If it still does not work, go to Control Panel -> System -> Advanced System Settings -> Environment Variables -> create "DYNAMIC_LOAD_APPLETS" and set it to 0. Restart Inventor.
Does it work better now?
Many thanks!
