Trying to get a round part with an asymmetrical side profile. Images attached.

I'm trying to model a piece that looks like one of the angled sections of this welded tube from "Part Reference.jpg" and I cannot seem to figure out a way without creating a flat spot on the side. Revolving also doesn't seem to work for this due to it being asymmetrical. Any ideas?

Hi!

There's several ways to do it, here's one:

Sometimes you have to use more than one step, Check the part attached

If you will need to create lots of these models, probably will be helpful to spend some time in creating a parametric model:

Hi

I don't know why you didn't enable the sheet metal environment.

Two cross-sections (almost 360 deg arcs with a 0.5 mm gap) built on the planes defined by your cross-section sketch will allow you to easily obtain a flat pattern of these segments.
