I have troubles with mirrored weldment. Original weldment V-70-081801 is OK, bud mirrored one V-70-081811 is full of errors in welding beads and machining.

Definitely odd.  I see that the groove welds are failing.  It may be because the groove welds are based on the geometry of the mirrored fillet welds which are in turn also based on mirrored items.  Not sure thought.  Strange thing is, I deleted a few of the errored groove welds and they remained.

Sorry I couldn't be of further assistance.

Hi Martin,

Many thanks for sharing the files! I believe this is a bug or a limitation. When mirroring the reused components, Inventor tries to re-establish the features and weld beads on the other side. However, some beads and features lose the reference geometry, leading to failures.

The issue here is that if this is the best Inventor can do or there could be room for improvement. I cannot tell at the moment. Let me work with the project team to understand it better.

Many thanks!
