Hello, dear community.
I am trying to perform a static simulation to know the torques involved in a screwing tool.
I made two simplified pieces:
The first one: is the base plate
the second one: is the servomotor and the socket
And the assembly :
I need to get the torques and forces at a specific point when the servomotor applies some torque.
For example, I applied 40 Nm from the servomotor, then when some bolt is screwed the servomotor stop and the forces and torques are translated to the main holder point.
To simulate this, I set fixed constraints at the socket, and in the main holder point (holes in the robot flange), in addition, I added a moment load of 40 Nm in the servomotor base, as in the following image :
When simulating I get the forces/torques values at "fixed constrain at robot flange"
However, I am not sure if the forces and torques are correct.
Could you help me? What is the correct way to set the constraints and get accuracy forces and torques?
I attached the simulation files made on Inventor 2022
Thanks for your help
