Hello, 2nd post ever been using Inventor 2016 for 2 months.  I somehow ended up with enormous text in certain fields.  I've tried looking for title block settings in Styles Editor, nothing found.  Any help would be terrific.  Thanks all.

Take a look at the text sizes when editing the text for the title block.

1. In the Model Browser, got to the sheet and right click on the sheet size. (see picture)

2. Select Edit Definition from the right click menu

3. Select the text to edit, then right click and choose Edit Text.

4. A dialog box should then open where you can Format the Text.

Hi emailphil04,

So title blocks use text styles just as revision blocks do.

I'm guessing based on the other thread, that some change was made to a text style while updating some other drawing element, and it updated the title block as well.

When we create a new text field in a title block we can choose which text style it uses. When we edit that text object we can override the style and change font, size, and so on, but we can not change the style used (I'm not sure why?).

In this video an existing title block text object is edited and the style is overridden for that object. Then a new text object is created, the text style is set and the style is modified.

You'll need to determine what is needed, but this should show you the options.

I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,
Curtis

RMB on the Title block listing in the browser ... edit definition

Click on and edit the ones that are oversized....high light the text in <> and see what the size is...

How did it get changed did someone edit the default templates?

Thanks all,

I got it to change.  Went straight to Styles Editor from Manage and just started changing every style until something seemed to work.  One of them was DEFAULT-ANSI, the other was Current-ANSI.  No idea how those are applied.  Quick question,

Does anybody know why 5 different things show up under my Title Blocks category in Model Tree?  (See attached).

Hi emailphil04,

Each drawing file has a Drawing Resources folder that contains "definitions" of things like borders, title blocks, etc. The idea is you can set up 5 different title block definitions, for instance, and then change the one used on the active sheet quickly.

For instance you might have these 5 title block definitions:

A-size English

A-size German

B-Size English

B-Size German

B-Size Klingon

Then you could right click on the one listed under the sheet node for Sheet1, and delete the title block that is being used and switch it out with any of those 5 definitions.

I hope this helps.

Hi @emailphil04,

now that you got used to the procedure, don't forget to mark the accepted solution Smiley Wink

And please stick to one topic inside one thread, otherwise important information can get lost because the title does not match the content.

Thanks for posting

Best wishes
