Are you getting confused with the wording of the attribute?

The initial view scale reads the scale of the base view on the sheet. As you change the scale of this view the attribute will update.

Or are you looking for something different?

Hi, thanks for your reaction but yeah i know the initial view scale reads the scale of the base view on the sheet.

the problem is that when i have a assembly drawing of some sort i normally have the base view not on the sheet i just make a lot of details of certain parts of the assembly. so i want to have the scale of the details on the sheet and not the scale of the base view.

If you right click the sheet in the browser and choose 'edit sheet' you can choose the view that Inventor pulls the properties from. 'Text Property Source'

Hi, thanks, thats exactly what i was looking for thanks 😉

But now i have a follow up question because formely from what i know of 2d drawing norms you should actually put the initial view scale and the Scale of the second view on the paper.

like this:

SCALE:

1:1 intial view scale

(1:2) scale of the second view

but i am not 100% sure if thats right?

but never the less would this be possible somehow?

If you want to have a scale for each view, add this is the view label. Double click the view and next to the view label you can click the edit pencil. Add the view scale into the text box.

Would that put my second scale under my initial view scale or should i add a different tag?
